April
2011
A Chosen Child Adoption Services will host an Easter Adoption Celebration and Easter Egg Hunt
in April 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. This special event will take place at the “Tot Lot” area of Wannamaker Park in North Charleston. It is an opportunity for adopted children and their families, birth parents and adoption professionals to come together in a casual setting and get to know one another. Prospective parents interested in adoption and families awaiting placement are also invited to attend.
Denice Fisher, Executive Director of A Chosen Child Adoption Services, has hosted the ceremony for the past 5 years. It has become an event that many people who have been touched by adoption look forward to each Spring. Light refreshments will be provided. The Easter Bunny will be there to lead the Easter Egg Hunt promptly at 10:30 a.m. and a professional photographer will be available to take pictures for interested families. In addition, each child will also receive a special memento to take home. Because the event is near the “Tot Lot” area of the park, the children will have access to swings, slides and climbing equipment. The park also has walking trails, boat rental and a concession stand.
There is no fee for this event but there is a $1/person gate admission to get into the park. Children should bring their Easter baskets if they plan to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt.
For information about the Easter Adoption Celebration, please contact Heather Bertauski at 843-821-4455 or Denice Fisher at 843-851-4004.
