A Chosen Child's Calendar of Events

The purpose of the following free events is to educate families who are considering adoption and honor those who have adopted children. These celebrations are free social events that provide educational resources for adoption and personal interaction with families who have adopted.

National Adoption Day Candle Light Celebration

21 November 2009 at 5:00 PM
A Chosen Child Adoption Services will celebrate National Adoption Month by hosting a Candle Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 5:00 pm. This special event will take place at the gazebo area of Azalea Park in Summerville and will honor all members of the adoption triad.

Guest Speaker - Renowned Storyteller, Tim Lowry

Renowned storyteller, Tim Lowry will be our featured guest speaker for the event. He will entertain the audience with a special adoption story.

Poems and personal stories will also be shared by participants and organizers. The ceremony will end with a “circle of light” where participants will light candles together to honor all adoptive families.  The children will each receive a special memento to remember National Adoption Day.
