Dear Birthmother,
I would like to start by saying thank you for taking the time to read this letter. My husband, Johnny, and I are so excited about fulfilling our lifelong dream of becoming parents, and we are grateful and thrilled that you would consider allowing us to welcome your baby into our hearts and home. With your help, we can provide your baby with a loving, nurturing, and secure home. I can promise you that your baby will know of your courage and how much love you have for him/her. Your baby will know that you gave him/her the greatest gift anyone can give…the gift of life!
Johnny and I have been married for three years, but we’ve been together for five. I knew almost immediately that with him is where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. We knew before we were ever married that we wanted to start our family right away. Though we are not able to conceive ourselves, we are excited about extending our family through adoption. We have so much love to give, and are anxiously awaiting our journey through parenthood.
I am a Registered Nurse, and I absolutely love the work I do. Not only because I get to help people, but because they too have touched my life. My patients are my work family, and I feel blessed to be a part of their lives. I also consider myself lucky to only have to work four days a week. That will give me an extra day every week to devote entirely to my future son or daughter. I am thankful to have a career that will allow me to pursue my professional goals, while at the same time, give me the flexibility I need to be a great mom.
Johnny and I live in a comfortable three bedroom home, in a quiet country setting. There are many kids of all ages on our street, and we have a large yard that we and our dog, Jada, very much enjoy. We love having friends over for Barbeques. Most of friends have small children, so your baby would grow up surrounded with lots of love and friendship.
We are blessed to have both of our parents living close by. I know our mothers have already been planning how they can best spoil their future grandchild. I also have a brother that lives close by. It is great having family so close because we are a very tight-knit group. I also have an older brother who is in the Navy. Right now, he is living in Tennessee with his wife and two children. Because of his work, they move frequently, but we still remain close, and the kids spend time almost every summer with us. They love that we live so close to the beach.
Johnny and I share many of the same interests. We both love music and art. We also love photography, and actually own our own photography business. Many weekends, we spend time wandering around new places taking pictures. Exposing ourselves to and learning the many different cultures that make up our great country is also very important to us. We are an open-minded couple, and plan to raise our children to be open-minded and accepting of the people around us.
We enjoy taking trips together, and hope to eventually see every state in our great nation. Our favorite vacation spot is Tennessee. We love spending time exploring The Great Smokey Mountains, and try to make it an annual trip. I am originally from Ohio, and we enjoy frequent trips back to visit with family and friends. Johnny; however, has jokingly limited our trips to the months of May through October. Being from the south, he thinks all the other months are entirely too cold. I can’t say I blame him. I did move south myself to get away from the snow and cold.
I know it may seem that our lives are very full, but I assure you that we have more than enough love and time to give to a child. Our hearts are open and ready to give all the love we have to your baby. You have given him/her the gift of life, and we would love to give him/her our hearts and home.
