Dear Birthmother,
There are not words enough for me to thank you for considering my family as you are making your adoption plan. Becoming a father was always something I thought would just happen after meeting and marrying the woman of my dreams. That it would be one of life’s stepping stones that seemed as natural as taking your first steps or learning to drive a car. After three years of unsuccessful attempts at conceiving a child, my wife and I decided to explore other options, and discovered that we were both very excited about the choice to adopt a child. Becoming a father is still the number one priority of my heart, and I thank you again for considering me and my family as you go forward with the adoption plan for your baby.
To tell you a little about myself, I was born and raised in South Carolina, as was all of my family for as far back as I can trace. I work as a Real Estate Appraiser, and also own a photography business with my wife. Both jobs allow me to set my own schedule and be flexible while still assuring financial security for my family. My wife and I feel privileged that we both have careers that allow us plenty of time to spend with each other and our families.
As I mentioned earlier, my family all lives close together. Denise also has a large number of her family that lives within an hour of our home. We’ve spent a lot of time discussing our decision to adopt a child with our families and they are as excited as we are about this decision. My wife actually has two aunts that were adopted as infants, and they are very happy about our choice.
Denise and I enjoy traveling and exploring. There are so many natural wonders to be seen, and for us, photographed. It’s my dream to fill our home with amazing pictures from all over the world that we have taken. I hope to continue traveling with our children. I want to let him/her explore the world and discover his/her own dreams and desires.
We also enjoy racing, and have made it an annual event to attend the Darlington NASCAR race. Denise knew nothing about NASCAR when we first met. It has been fun, and often humorous, to watch her try to figure out the rules of the sport. When I am not working or watching the races, I enjoy tinkering with computers and software programs. Many of my friends and family call on me to fix any problems they with their computers.
While at home, Denise and I enjoy spending time outside with our dog, Jada. She is still very puppy-like and is just a bundle of playful energy. We have a large yard, and her favorite game to play with us is Frisbee. We also enjoy having friends and family over to the house for cookouts. We enjoy being surrounded by people we love who also love us back. I can assure you that your baby will be constantly surrounded by love and family.
I can promise you that if you do choose our family to raise your baby; he/she will spend every moment of his/her life being loved, nurtured, and cherished. We can provide your baby with a secure home filled with love. We will keep you in our prayers, and please know we understand you are making a decision that is perfect for your baby. Your courage is outstanding, and should we be the family you choose, I promise your baby will know of the deep and never-ending love you have for him/her.
